Henry G. Brinton is the senior pastor of Fairfax Presbyterian Church in Virginia. He has written on religion and culture for the New York Times, the Washington Post, USA Today, and Huffington Post. He also contributes to the preaching journals Homiletics and Proclaim. A frequent speaker at workshops and conferences, he is the author of books ranging from The Welcoming Congregation: Roots and Fruits of Christian Hospitality to The Bible’s Greatest Hits: Top Sixty-Six Passages from Genesis to Revelation. He has also written three novels, City of Peace, Windows of the Heavens, and War Bug, set in the town of Occoquan, Virginia, where he lives. Henry is married to Nancy, a professor at Mary Baldwin University, and they have two adult children along with one grandchild. An endurance athlete, Henry has completed a marathon, triathlon, or century (100-mile) bike ride every year since the year 2000.
